Mercy and Truth is a dedicated ministry aimed at serving women in the adult entertainment industry. Our focus is on providing care, support, and prayer for these vulnerable women.

As part of our commitment, we offer nourishment through regular meals and also provide spiritual support, praying with the ladies with the goal of reaching them with the gospel of Jesus by showing the love of Jesus.

Recognizing the magnitude of this, we rely on the support of compassionate volunteers who are passionate about seeing lives changed by the gospel of Jesus. If you are moved to act and want to be part of a team working to minister to the suffering of those in the most vulnerable of positions, we invite you to sign up as a volunteer with Mercy and Truth Ministries. Your involvement can make a significant difference in this fight against human trafficking and we need YOU!

  • Provide a meal for the ladies.

  • Be a prayer warrior.

  • Volunteer to go to the club.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
— Ephesians 2:4

Provide a Meal for Grace and Truth

Help us provide a special gift, a sweet treat, or a savory snack to the women we are reaching here in the Dayton area. Please plan for 20-25 ladies.

At this time, we are able to take in store-bought, restaurant packaged, or small gifts. Individually wrapped items are great, but if that is not possible, please plan to provide small plates and a utensil.

Our Team

Stephanie Norton

Stephanie Norton helps lead our Mercy and Truth Ministry and has extensive experience working within the field of trafficking and exploitation of women. Stephanie has a deep desire to help these victimized people be able to find hope through showing them the love and care of Christ.

Laura Snyder

Laura Snyder, trusted Christ at the age of 25 in Las Vegas, NV. Her walk with Jesus over the past 18 years has been one of restoration and growth! Today, she is married to her husband Chris, a humble man and servant leader, with whom she's shared 15 years of adventure (#adventurebuddyforlife)! They are an Air Force family and share life with four children. Laura's passion for her family extends to her friends, often shown through home gatherings around homemade tacos!

Driven by a deep empathy for those who are struggling, Laura believes she is called to impact women who feel trapped in their circumstances. This motivation, coupled with her own personal experiences, inspires her to extend her hand to women feeling hopeless, particularly those separated from their children. Her favorite book, “Gentle and Lowly” reads, “Time and time again, it is the morally disgusting, the socially reviled, the inexcusable and undeserving who do not simply receive Christ’s mercy but to whom Christ most naturally gravitates…And what did [Jesus] do when he saw the unclean? What was his first impulse when he came across prostitutes and lepers? He moved toward them. Pity flooded his heart. He spent time with them. He touched them.” These realities have led Laura to serve on the prayer and outreach team for Cincy At The Well as well as holding a position on the board for The Hope Hub Xenia. Despite grappling with fear over the years, Laura's faith in God's faithfulness is consistent. She finds strength in His mercy, encouraging her to continue her journey of service and compassion to those who are need of God’s restoration through Jesus.

Maddie Whitman

Maddie has the privilege of actively serving as a Pastors wife, and is currently in the fifth year of service here at Faith Baptist Church. Maddie has a passion for investing and helping women of all ages, and is privileged to work directly with the young people at Faith Baptist.

Maddie and her husband are also engaged in foster care and view it as a special mission to help the vulnerable in our community. Maddie loves thrift shopping, keeping her bees, and doing all things outdoors.

Maddie loves serving with Mercy and Truth Ministries because it is a way of serving outside the walls of the church building. Investing in the “unseen” women of our culture, the same women that Jesus would often minister to with the hope of the Gospel, is what knitted Maddie’s heart to this ministry.

Esther Baddorf

What a privilege to be a part of the Dayton Ladies’ Mercy and Truth ministry!  I am so thankful for the opportunity to pray for, work for, and love the ladies in Dayton who so desperately need Hope, Mercy, and Truth that only our Great Savior can provide. I look forward to sharing what I am learning about the Peace of God and how He can change their lives.

I am first of all a child of the King of kings.  How thankful I am for His gracious gift of salvation, given freely, by which He adopted me as His own!  I accepted Christ as my Savior as a young child and desire to grow closer to Him.

I am happily married to my fun-loving husband, Robert, now for 27 years. We moved to Dayton just a year ago and are so thankful to be here working in Dayton and at Faith Baptist Church.

I am a homeschool mom of five fantastic boys.  Two have graduated and are attending Christian college—three are still homeschooling.

”Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.  Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.” - Isaiah 26:3-4

Missy Black

Missy, first trusted Jesus as her Lord & Savior at the early age of thirteen. Her love for Christ and His church has grown over the years, where she is actively involved in the music and children's ministries. This love for serving is complemented by her passion for stepping outside the church walls to help a world in need, with 2 Peter 3:9 serving as her guiding verse. This led her to serve on the prayer and outreach team for Cincy at the Well.

Missy has been married to Jason, (“the best man I know”), for 26 wonderful years. She loves life with him especially with their opportunities to head to the Smokey Mountain getaways that mark their anniversaries. She is proud mother to four remarkable young men (#twinmom) and she loves every moment spent with her family. She is also a home school mom of eighteen years!

Despite her bustling life, Missy continuously embraces opportunities that stretch her outside her comfort zone, as they challenge and strengthen her faith (Proverbs 3:5-6).
